FOUR THINGS YOUR BACK WOULD LIKE TO KNOW

1. WHAT CAUSES THE PAIN?
Pain in the lower part of the back and pain that radiates down into one leg or sometimes both. The most common explanations for acute back pain in orthopaedic circles are small tears that occur in different muscles, tendons and ligaments. This happens all too often when a back that has been strained during work or exercise does not relax sufficiently during sleep. A suitable bed is essential for back relaxation.

2. DISK INJURIES
The discs have a shock-absorbing function and distribute pressure between the vertebrae so that the spine can bend and turn without damage.
While lying in bed, the pressure on the disc is at its lowest, and it is, therefore, essential to give some thought as to whether the bed you sleep in is properly constructed or not.

3. 80% OF PEOPLE SOMETIMES SUFFER FROM BACK PAIN
Eight per cent of people in the world suffer from back pain at least once in their lifetime. It’s our lifestyle that affects our spine. Scientists have proven that smoking and sitting both increases the risk of back pain. For example: lifting something with a bent back can cause injury, especially to the discs.

4. AVOID LONG-TERM REST
Long periods of inactivity and rests delay the recovery process, and the back pain actually increases. Rest is unavoidable in this case, but it is recommended to rest only for short periods, and of course, in a proper bed.
A good night’s sleep is one of the best things you can do to guard against back problems and promote your health in general.
